Christmas Cards

Part of the fun of Christmas is getting cards with stories and pictures from old friends and new.  I love to open a card and see pictures of children of friends I can not see often or stories about the year after we have lost touch for awhile.  In the quest to join the millions sending cute pictures of their kids, of course thinking that mine are the cutest I started early this year trying to get the PERFECT picture for all to see!

I am sure many of you are laughing right now as you can relate.  So, I started in October,  got the kids dressed (ages 3 and 1) and was determined to get a cute fall picture.... Ha!

Many of you saw my fist attempt that I posted on face book http://tinyurl.com/ylcajg9!  This one was taken with strict instructions to my 3 year old to throw the leaves high into the air so they fall beautifully out of the sky around you and your sister so I can have a beautiful fall picture of my happy kids playing..... KOBOOOOM!!!  Wack your sister with leaves is of course what my 3 yr old heard.

And in my infinite wisdom I asked him to do it again..........

and again thinking somehow he would get it and stop wanting to pummel his sister!

OK..... Soooooo on to plan B.  If you smile nice and sit down I won't make you go into church today....  oops, sorry going in!

Well, it is now 2 weeks before Christmas and my quest for the perfect picture of my perfect children is going to have to end and we'll go with what we have.  To all of the parents out there who can sympathize as they try to get pictures of their "perfect" kids I wish you luck on your Christmas card too.

Of course our real Christmas card picture will remain a secret until you open it up.
